Margie Stevens (1937-2016)

Services for Margie Lee Harley Stevens, 79, of Crandall, were set for 11 am Saturday, November 5, 2016, at the Eubank Funeral Chapel in Canton with Bro. Bobby Pritchett and Dr. Mark Moore officiating. Interment will be in the Cedarvale Cemetery near Kaufman.

Mrs. Stevens passed away Thursday, November 3, in Kaufman. She was born March 8, 1937, in Grand Saline to William Acie and Bessie Mae Zetty Harley.

Margie was a lifelong Christian and a Baptist by faith. She was a beautiful, kind, gentle and caring person, loved by anyone who came in contact with her. She was married to the love of her life and would have celebrated their 60th anniversary on the 26th of December. Margie had a special bond with her daughters and her Lord. Her granddaughters brought a smile to her face and a twinkle to her eyes. She had a way of making them each feel special.

Mrs. Stevens is preceded in death by her parents; 5 brothers: James, Howard, Ray, Ed and Tommy Harley; and 2 sisters: Virgie McKinney and Bernice Tolleson.

Margie is survived by her husband of 59 years, Marvin Eugene Stevens of Crandall; 2 daughters and their husbands: Cindy and Bobby Pritchett of Crandall and Becky and Paul Foster of Martins Mill; 5 granddaughters: Leah and Aaron Odom, Diana Pritchett, Christina and Charlie Cruce, Sarah Foster and Jenny Foster; 5 great-grandchildren: Kali Odom, Ian Odom, Isabella Odom, Gracie Rasco and Drake Rasco; sister, Jewel Herring of Grand Saline and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held one hour prior to the service.
