Bre Daley Tipps (1985-2018)

Services for Bre Daley Tipps, 32, of Grand Saline, are scheduled for 11 a.m., Friday, April 6, 2018, at Caney Creek Cowboy Church with Bro. Billy Smith and Bro. Donnie Herring officiating.

Interment will follow at Creagleville Cemetery with Bro. Homer Morgan officiating, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.

Mrs. Tipps passed away April 4, 2018, at her home in Grand Saline. She was born December 5, 1985, in Dallas. She had spent all her life in the Fruitvale and Grand Saline area where she graduated from Fruitvale High School, Class of 2004, and was a member of Riverside Mission Church. She worked as a corrections officer for the Juvenile Detention Center. During her battle with ovarian cancer, she became an advocate and helped promote prevention of ovarian cancer by hosting “Turn the Town Teal” events for two years in a row. She also spoke before Congress as an advocate and participated in Relay for Life events. Bre was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for VFW Post 6635 and was a boat captain for GSHS Bass Fishing Team. She was preceded in death by her brother, Chris Daley.

Survivors include her husband, Terry Tipps of Grand Saline; two sons, Jayton Tipps and Briley Tipps, both of Grand Saline; daughter, Katy Tipps of Grand Saline; parents, B.R. & Debby Daley of Fruitvale and Liz Daley & Ken Delana of Wills Point; three brothers, Ronald Daley, Jr. and wife Susan of Tyler, Jason Daley and wife Sarah of Mt. Pleasant, SC, and Marcus Daley and wife Melissa of Fruitvale; sister, Rhonda Cain and husband Steve of Ivanho; special friend and caregiver, Ginny Lewis of Eustace; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers will be James Wilson, Myron Thomas, Bobby Sirmans, Sr., Bobby Sirmans, Jr., Travis Copeland, Gerald Denton, Keith Fincher and Dewey Meroney.

Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. David Gershenson and all the staff of MD Anderson.

The family will receive friends 6-8 p.m., Thursday at the funeral home.
