Rickey Koonce (1947-2018)

Services for Mr. Rickey Koonce, 70, of Grand Saline, was scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, January 8, 2018, at Bartley Funeral Home with Preacher Carl McCann and Preacher Mark Stanford officiating.
Interment will be in Woodside Cemetery.
Mr. Koonce passed away January 5, 2018, in Grand Saline. He was born June 23, 1947, in Grand Saline to Mack & Lennie Marie Starr Koonce and graduated from Grand Saline High School in 1967. Rickey lived all of his life in Grand Saline where he retired from Morton Salt after 39 years of service and was a member of Grand Saline Masonic Lodge #1269. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Richard Koonce, Charlie Koonce and Joyce Koonce.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Maye Koonce of Grand Saline; daughter, Tina Stovall and husband Michael of Alba; brother, Mike Koonce and wife Linda of Grand Saline; granddaughter, Katie Stovall of Alba; sisters-in-law, Lorene Koonce of Mineola, Wilda Koonce of Grand Saline and Faye Melton of Grand Saline; and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers were Donnie Koonce, Heath Koonce, Anthony Shrum, Gary Fisher, Jeff Adkins and Gayle Lovette.
The family received friends 5-7 p.m., Sunday at the funeral home.
