Mozelle Hollowell (1916-2017)

Services for Mozelle Darby Hollowell, 100, of Quitman, were scheduled for 11 a.m., Tuesday, August 15, 2017, at Bartley Funeral Home with Bro. James Massey officiating.

Interment followed in Woodside Cemetery.

Mrs. Hollowell passed away August 11, 2017, at her home in Quitman. She was born November 2, 1916, in Grand Saline to James Grady & Jewell Lucinda Porter Darby. She spent many years in Dallas, 27 years in Grand Saline and then the last 10 years in Quitman. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Grand Saline and was a homemaker. Mozelle was preceded in death by her parents; Grady & Jewell Darby; husband, Coy Lee Hollowell; and sister & brother-in-law, Tina & Cecil Hollowell.

Survivors include her son, Glenn Lee Hollowell and wife Olva of Kerrville; two daughters, Faye Rhea Dozier and husband Jim of Quitman and Barbara Jean Holcombe and husband Edward of Rowlett; four grandchildren, Vicki Gibson and husband Coyne, Darrell Hollowell and wife Barbara, Douglas Dozier and wife Jenelle and William Holcombe; seven great-grandchildren, Gary Gibson, Kelly Gibson, Mikayla, Zachary Gibson, Drew Hollowell, Blake Hollowell and Hayley Dozier; and numerous other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers were Coyne Gibson, William Holcombe, Darrell Hollowell, Douglas Dozier, Drew Hollowell and Blake Hollowell.

Memorials may be made to Bible Baptist Church 408 N Larson St, Grand Saline, TX 75140.

The family received friends 6-8 p.m., Monday at the funeral home.
