Celebration of Life for Karen Paige Sellers, 62, of Lindale, is scheduled for 1 p.m., Saturday, October 19, 2024, at Main Street Baptist Church, Grand Saline, with Pastor Kyle Nees officiating.
Interment will follow in Woodside Cemetery, under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home, Grand Saline.
Karen passed away October 16, 2024, at her home in Lindale. She was born July 22, 1962, in Bryan, to Joe L. Jr. & Charlotte Gilbreath Sellers. Karen graduated from high school at Berlin American High School in Berlin, Germany and received her bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M Commerce. She lived in Grand Saline for 29 years, where she raised her children, was a former member of Main Street Baptist Church, taught math and science at Grand Saline ISD, and 3rd grade at Edgewood ISD. She taught math at Lindale ISD for the last 11 years up until her retirement, after 26 years of service, in public education. She moved to Lindale four years ago where she was a member of First Baptist Church of Lindale. Karen loved & enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandkids. She was always up for a great adventure, geocaching, and/or traveling, greatly enjoyed traveling with her best buddies, Susan & Gretchen, and spending time with her Berlin BRAT friends. Karen was preceded in death by her father, Joe L. Sellers, Jr; and brother, Joe L. Sellers III.
Survivors include her beloved doggy, Ollie-Anna Sellers; mother, Charlotte Sellers of Tyler; son, Daniel Wilt; three daughter, Leann Wilt of Farmersville, Diana Runcorn (Matt) of Hideaway, and Janae Fabian (Carlos) of Tyler; sister, Kellie Wheeler (Tim) of Tyler; sister-in-law, DeAnn Sellers of West Plains, MO; four grandchildren, Jacqueline Bond, Asher Runcorn, Maximus Fabian, and Fiona Fabian; six nephews, Timothy LaPrade, Joe L. Sellers IV, Lance Sellers, Wyatt Sellers, Nate Sellers, and Gabe Sellers; niece, Susan O’Sullivan; and numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers will be Timothy LaPrade, Joe L. Sellers IV, Lance Sellers, Wyatt Sellers, Nate Sellers, Gabe Sellers, Billy O’Sullivan, Carlos Fabian, and Matt Runcorn.
The family will receive friends 5-7 p.m., Friday, October 18, 2024, at the funeral home.
