Dorothy Williams Webster (1933-2016)

Services for Dorothy Williams Webster, 83, of Fruitvale, were scheduled for 2 p.m., Monday, January 2, 2017, at Eastridge Baptist Church in Red Oak with Bro. Jack Ables officiating under the direction of Bartley Funeral Home.

Interment followed in Laurel Land Memorial Park, Dallas.

Mrs. Webster passed away December 27, 2016 in Fruitvale. She was born January 10, 1933 in Nashville, Arkansas to Marion S. and Ruby Turberville Williams. Dorothy spent her early years in Nashville, AR and then moved to Dallas where she lived for over 50 years. She was a graduate of Sunset High School in Dallas, Class of 1950. Dorothy worked for the IRS, with 15 years of service. Dorothy was a member of East Ridge Baptist Church in Red Oak where she taught Sunday school, was a youth leader and a member of their WMU. Once she moved to Fruitvale, 18 years ago, she was active at Main Street Baptist Church in Grand Saline where she was a substitute Sunday school teacher and established a IRS VITA site there.
Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents; and husband, of 51 years, Harold Floyd Webster.

Survivors include her son, Michael Webster and wife Brandi of Denton; two daughters, Debra Moore of Arlington and Becky Kelton and husband Riley of Fruitvale; nine grandchildren, Tyler Webster, Carson Webster, Madaline Webster, Cody Webster, Christopher Moore and wife Tammy, Melody Sasser, Rachael White and husband John, Neosha White and husband Gary, Cherie Johnston and husband Keith; ten great-grandchildren, Leann White and Joe Osborne, Alexis White, Jonathan White, Bree White, Jeffrey White, Garrett Johnston, Kelsey Johnston, Tristan Moore, Phineas Moore, and Quincy Sasser; one great-great grandchild, Nevaeh Osborne; and numerous other relatives and friends.

The family received friends Monday one hour prior to the services at the church.
